These unique Aluminum grip bushings are part of our "Frame Saver" line of grip bushings.  Even if accedently cross threaded they will not harm your expensive frame, yet once staked they are just as reliable as any steel bushing.  TMC always recommends either staking or using Lock Tight to secure your grip bushing.

If your 1911 is based on an aluminum or aluminum alloy frame these bushings are a must.
